Best Western Lodging

Two "in-session" nights with a shared/double occupancy room at the Best Western Plus Carpinteria Inn, or in a standard dorm room at Ladera, are included in the fall and winter quarterly Residential Fees. Spring quarter has 2 in session nights for sessions 1 and 2, and 3 in session nights for session 3. Friday and Saturday are "in-session" nights for fall, winter and spring sessions 1 and 2. In session nights for spring session 3 are Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. For all sessions except spring session 3, Thursday and Sunday nights are considered non-session nights, and an additional fee will be charged for each additional night. For spring session 3 Wednesday and Sunday are considered non-session nights, and an additional fee will be charged for each additional night. Please choose your additional nights, above, for each session. Roommate name, and requests, must be noted on the Guest Services Registration form if selecting the shared/double occupancy lodging option at Best Western. Roommate requests are accommodated when possible. If assistance in pairing with a roommate is needed, please consult the Guest Services Office. Guests are not permitted to join you if you have reserved a double/shared room or are lodging at Ladera. Additional nights may be added at a later date, with at least 1-week advanced notice, and dependent upon availability, by emailing Guest Services at GuestServices@pacifica.edu .

Cancellations to lodging must be sent, via email, at least 1 week in advance of the check in date, to avoid charges. Please see below for more information regarding housing information and additional night fees.

An additional charge will be billed to your student account for any non-session extra nights, including an additional occupancy tax of 16% for Ladera lodging. All other additional charges will be billed to your student account.

    Local Resident

Students claiming residency in Santa Barbara County or Ventura County must submit proof of residency prior to the start of the academic year or upon re-enrollment. Proof of residency can include Driver’s license with a local address, utility bill, lease agreement, etc. If proof of local residency, or an approved residential waiver are already on file for the 2026/2027 academic year you do not need to resubmit. Students are required to notify Guest Services immediately if planning to move outside of Santa Barbara County or Ventura County; as such a move would likely change the student’s residency status.

Proof of residency must be scanned and emailed to Guest Services at GuestServices@pacifica.edu .

Students who do not reside in Santa Barbara or Ventura County and still wish to apply for Non- Residential status will need to fill out a separate Residential Waiver Form and petition their residency status. Students will remain in residential status, and be billed as residential status, until the petition has been approved. Please contact Guest Services at GuestServices@pacifica.edu for more information.

    Other

Students who have approved accommodation needs on file with the Disability Services office, and/or needs outside of the options shown, please select the Other option above and note in the comments section below your needs, or specifically what you are requesting, and submit this form. Guest Services will follow up with any requests that fall under this option.
